It's got a lot of nice photos, good, useful information (though a bit skewed towards the east coast growers), and relatively inexpensive (paperback). It was out of print for a while there, but came back in late 90s... not sure if still in print now, though. Leaves a ton of species out, but for beginners, it's very useful.
