This is not a book about how to make a pretty patio container. It is a book about how to build the patio, make the container- raised beds included, plant a container wisely and maintain it all. Everything from masonary to structural elements are covered in chapters 1-5. Chapters 6 & 7 are about design, schemes, plants growing media, tools and maintanence. The appendix is wonderful because it contains actual plans for patio gardens for kitchens, disabled persons, children, plantsmen, town, coastal, wildlife, south-facing and north-facing. Very comprehensive. |
