I found this book on Mints to be a great reference for many related Herbs and Ornamentals. Many times I have gone in search of info on a selected plant to find it listed here. This is an invaluable addition for the mint, herb or general gardener.
This relatively new book gives a thorough overview of the Mint Family. The author gives a historical account of mints then subdivides the family into herbal mints, ornamental mints and the weedy mints. She also cover pests and diseases that are specific to this family, then finally lists and describes the various genera and species found within the Lamiaceae. There are plenty of botanical illustrations and a 30 page section of excellent photographs.
