I got this book on a discount table and I'm glad I did. It's part of Woody Plant Series and I'll be looking for the rest of series. Nice pictures, short but full descriptions of species and cultivars, including some uncommon or rare plants. Covers wide variety of plants for colour/foliage.
This is the third book in the 'Woody Plant' series. Like the other two, it has lots of excellent pictures but is far from exhaustive on the subject of woody plants grown for their foliage. However, again, for the beginner, it does describe many of the more common woody plants that are grown primarily for their foliage. My experience would change to positive if the three books had been published as a single book rather than being split into three.
