Meg DesCamp writes a charming story about her Portland, Oregon garden. Happily, she presents her foibles and triumphs in a way that makes a beginner feel more at ease. Last year, a friend gave me a seedling of her "mystery tree" and I exclaimed "That's a Harlequin Glorybower! I read all about it in 'Slug Tossing'." I found this book to be similar to 'From the Ground Up'. |
