For any new gardener who lives in the Lower Mainland or the Island areas of British Columbia, this book is GREAT! It gives you a month by month directory of what should be done in your garden and yard to help it look its best. Not only does it cover the basics such as when you can transplant, sow seed outdoors, etc., these ladies have put in some wonderful projects (such as a winter interest barrel) for different parts of the year. Was a great purchase. If you live in this area, are new to gardening, pick it up if you can get it.
