This is probably the most used book in my house. It has so many dog ears and dirt on the cover that you can tell it is much used. I would never trade this book for anything.
It gives you all the information you need to grow many different species from seed. It has the difficulty level, the temps needed, how much to cover the seeds, and days to germination.
If you are crazy about seeds, you MUST have this book on your shelves.

A great reference book for growing annuals, perennials and bulbs from seed. Contains an A-Z dictionary of plants with plant characteristics, detailed indoor and outdoor sowing and transplanting instructions, plus a little info on growing on. There is also a photo gallery of some flowers, and a handy visual chart that lists hardiness, light requirements, bloom period, height, and color that you can skim to pick plants with specific requirements. Definitely a must-have reference if you're growing from seed.

I'd passed this book up several times until I got the brilliant idea to grow my own perennials from seed. The book is comprehensive and incredibly helpful, providing information on propagation by seed or division, as well as great cultural information.
