I bought this book in 2003 and LOVE it!!
Note: My copy is hardcover, not soft.

I am a Southerner who is obsessed with growing 'old-timey' flowers and plants like my Granny had.

This book is very informative and gives the history of each plant as well as good growing tips. It has plentiful illustrations though the photos are on the small side.

Both authors are obviously in love with plants and know their stuff.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in Southern Heirloom gardening or plants.
