Each plant entry has cultivation and propagation info, recommended companion plantings and related species, all written in a style both factual and entertaining. Chapter titles include:
-100 Easy-to-Grow Native Plants
-Ethical Gardener's Guidelines
-Plants for Specific Conditions: Quick-Reference Charts [incl. thumbnail colour photos of each plant]
-Native Plant Nurseries
-Index of Plants by Botanical Name
This book is an enjoyable read and valuable reference work. Highly recommended for Canadian and northern U.S. gardeners. |
