This is a great reference book for those of you who want to grow roses in colder climates. The author shows how to plant roses deeply, way below the bud union, to save them from the extremes of northern winters. There's a great list of roses for winter-hardiness with details about these roses. I have this book to thank for helping me not lose so many roses in the winter. I recommend it to anyone in USDA zones 5 and lower and anyone in Canada who wants to grow hardy, healthy roses that aren't just annuals!
