Finally a decent book on cacti that, though woefully lacking in the photography department, is at least relatively up to date in the taxonomic one- probably the only one I have seen this accurate, by a long shot, so far. Sadly, it has cut my numbers of cactus species I own and have photographed down quite a bit, as so many plants I see are really just the same as others, with different names. The synonyms listed, to me, are worth the price of the book alone. Would be nice if there were more photos... only a photo of maybe one out of 5-10 species.... too bad.
