I rely on this book as a general reference as well as for ideas. It covers a wide range of topics from soil, flowers, vegetables, garden foes, etc. An easy read, with fairly good lists of plants. For a book this chock full of information at a likely minimal cost, it's worth checking out.
I have enjoyed this book as a gardener for several years because it's easily read and understood. It covers many basic topics about growing plants in a simple yet informative way. A person learning to garden would gain a lot from this book and so would a seasoned gardener like myself. A wide range of topics about soil, pests, diseases, trees, lawns, planting tips, etc. are covered.
