There's over 100 colour photos in the first section of the book. They touch on the history, species, culture, care, pests and propagation with a whole chapter on Heuchera breeders.
My favourite part of the book was the descriptions of the many, many Heuchera hybrids and how the author's favourites were noted. This section was very helpful in choosing the ones I wanted to buy.
