Excellent book for both newcomers to the chicken world as well as those who've raised chickens for years. This is a very easy to understand book containing information from "how to choose your birds" to "proper management" (offering different styles/techniques of housing). In addition you'll also find great info pertaining to proper feeding, various diseases (one chapter is devoted completely to "Home Remedies for Pullets and Hens"), as well as Egg Eating, Protective Instincts, meat chickens, wing clipping, etc.

Those of you raising chickens for eggs will want to gain info from the chapter on that topic as it contains how to candle, and why, as well as the collecting and proper care of the eggs..

I'm sure you can find a copy of this book at Amazon.com. A wise investment.
