As I read it, I got the feeling that the author, who formerly wrote for Rodale's guides, cut and pasted information to suit Ohio climate and soil from his computer database into book form.
This book lacks passion, a pleasing prose style, and up to date detailed horticultural information, but, for a beginner's overview, it serves it's purpose: to provide solid information base to get started with a garden. |
