Excellent Book. The first half is a concise topic-based chapter cluster of selection, planting and care. The second is a small listing of good tree selections for small spaces. In this he introduces the reader to new and promising cultivars as well as familiarizing and educating about common ones. Best merits goes to his description of size in relation to age, pros and cons of certain trees, as well as a most useful but neglected topic- adaptability to chalky soils.

A must for anyone who wants to pack in as much woody plant material as possible into a small space.
