This an outstanding book for those who like to grow their own salad mixes. It gives very clear pictures of the myriad of greens, vegetables herbs, and flowers that can be used to make scrumptious salads. Most people will find ingredients to grow that they have never heard of or never considered for a salad.
Ms. Larkcom not only devotes pages and color pictures to the possible ingredients for salad, but also devotes space to salad growing techniques including blanching and sprouting. In the end she shows beautiful color pictures of salads and gives their recipes.
If want to grow a really interesting salad garden this is the book for you.
