This beautifully illustrated and well written book was not what I expected. It emphasizes plants that have died off
in gardens and fields after a frost or wintering period.
The author and photographer show seedheads and plants
that have a unique beauty after a plant's flowers are gone.
A nice chapter on Botany and Ecology, along with a Plant
Directory that describes plants whose beauty continues
in the fall and winter. Those who do fall floral arrangements would benefit reading this book.....the unique seedheads of some plants are outstanding!
