This is such an unusual book, and I loved nearly every aspect of it. The author gives detailed instructions for growing plants on, in, and around surfaces I'd never dreamed of, along with suggested plants for each application.
Learn to turn an old table into a garden. Just plop some soil on top and plant away! Turn driveway and sidewalk cracks, buckles, and boring spaces into lush gardens. Place plants on rocks, rooftops, crevices-- anywhere you can use a little bit of soil and imagination.
As with all his books, you'll have to indulge his overly verbose style, but the benefits are well worth it. The pictures alone will make you drool.
