Very useful book. The author is an experienced British gardener who shares her list of favorite plants and ideas for how to use them in the garden. The book is divided into six main sections: plants for
1) sunny garden with normal moisture
2) sunny garden with high moisture
3) dry sunny garden
4) shady garden with normal moisture
5) shady garden with high moisture
6) dry shady garden

There is also a chapter on container gardening. There are recommendations for the best plants for each set of conditions. Lots of beautiful pictures throughout - both of individual plants and full garden shots. This isn't a comprehensive encyclopedia/reference type of book, but it contains some great ideas about plant combinations and placement.
