Gorgeous, inspiring pictures of shady gardens with some unusual planting solutions (for example, how to garden under a magnolia.) Plus, what I found most interesting is that Mr. Wiley is not above criticing the garden design photos he presents and suggests ways they could be improved.
The book starts out with huge country gardens and then moves on to smaller spaces, but I found lots of design insppiration on every page.
