I adore this book. I am not the most organized person so the month-by-month approach taken by the author works for me. The style of writing is conversational and I prefer the simple drawings used to illustrate the text rather than flashy photos of perfect roses. I have had the book for four or five years and I routinely pick it up to read a chapter or two at a time. It has made me more confident in my rose growing efforts and in truth a lot less stressed when things go wrong. I've bought this book for two friends and three family members. I cannot bear to be without my own copy. I have seen this book on remainder more frequently and I am always tempted to buy another copy or push a friend to but one. Everyone who has purchased or received one has been happy with it and has more roses in their yards as a consequence!
