Though its slightly coffee table, I like this book because it covers a broad range of garden styles & provides practical tips to help make it happen cheaply. It is well illustrated & the information is simply presented, but goes into detail where necessary. It is good for getting a view on the different styles around, some of the history of gardening & inspiration when its needed.
