It emphasizes, obviously, the aesthetics of edibles and is not a gardening encyclopedia. However, it is a wealth of good suggestions and ideas that are both practical and beautiful. My garden has improved a lot after reading this book. Some of the advice, I should caution, is more for the Pacific northwest than for us here in the sweaty south, but can still be adapted. By the way, the illustrations are beautiful and I ordered a lovely hardback copy through bookfinder.com. Don't go with amazon, they are overpriced. |
