Absolutely the best wildflower identification guide for South Carolina (and surrounding states). This is what some of the experts actually use in the field! I use it not only to identify the plants I find in the woods, but to choose plants for my yard. The book is divided by physiographic region and further into plant community. I live in an area that was upland hickory/oak woodland and used that section of the book (and similar habitat sections) to choose plants for my yard.
