Ibsen's book was a great help to a newbie gardener like me. He gives many tips on growing tomatoes from seed, selecting varieties, planting, trellising, watering and feeding. Both hybrid and heirloom tomatoes are covered, and he offers interesting anecdotes about his California tasting celebrations.
I love this book! It's a nice size to tote around and full of fun tidbits and loads of info. The recipes are good and easy to follow, and I love the abundance of tomato pictures!
