The book tells of historical and current medicinal uses, including Native American, for 45 plants (trees, shrubs, flowers, herbs) found in the Appalachian Mountains of the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.
The book is an excellent reference with Bloom and Harvest plant charts, although I didn't entirely agree with some of her herbal preparation explanations.
The book has no plant pictures, but good physical plant descriptions!
