I was looking to learn more about hoop houses and extending vegetable season. This book was absolutely AMAZING! Eliot Coleman wrote a book that documents many many experiments he did using different methods to extend growing to all year gardening in Maine in non heated hoop houses. But the biggest surprise was the movable greenhouse idea. It is so BRILLIANT that I'm actually making one. Of the HUNDREDS of gardening books I own this one is the best written and scientifically valuable book of all of them. It's a perfect "10"! It should be on the top 20 list because it is a "MUST HAVE" book for every vegetable grower to have.

Another gem by Eliot Coleman--why his books are not on the Bookworm's top twenty favorite garden books list is beyond me. Like his other books, this one is easy to read, interesting and full of valuable information. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
