The photography is simply outstanding. The book is 90% photographs. The text speaks to the special place known as Hawaii and the threats to what remains of it's endemic life. You will be able to visit parts of Maui that you will probably never get to see. You will learn about plants and animals found for the first time in just the last few years. If the words of the author don't move you, the pictures surely will. GORGEOUS!!!!!
