Has some decent basic information but all in all for anyone already familiar with southwestern gardening not very useful.
Mostly sticks to commonly cultivated garden plants, nothing new or interesting here. Never touches on any of the many interesting and unusual species which do well here.
This book is more geared towards the city homeowner who isn't really a "gardener" but wants a pretty yard.
Since the majority of Nevada is rural to extremely rural I'd skip this one entirely unless you live in Las Vegas.
