About half of this book is sample landscape plans for different landscape situations. The plans are color drawings and there are real photos scattered throughout with the actual plants. I like how many of the plans show what the gardens will look like in the different seasons.

The second half of the book is implementation of the plans. General information on planting, along with information on installing ponds, patios, fence, etc is included.

I think this book would be good for someone who didn't have a lot of time to invest in researching individual plants to design a garden.
