New Encyclopedia of Herbs & Their Uses is a Bookworm 20 book.
As the subtitle says, it seems to be a "definitive guide to the identification, cultivation, and uses of herbs." Note, there is an index of common names that you can use to look up by scientific name. Beautiful and informative like all other DK books I've seen.
The only bad thing besides the price is you need to know the scientific name or plant family.
The are a lot of pictures and describes different varieties - do's and don'ts' .
I would buy again [ have as gifts and one for 18 as a loaner ] .
Just bought this wonderful book along with two other AHS books, and between them and my Sunset, I have good information and pictures on most plants. Would highly recommend, even if you are not heavily into herbs as it has information on plants I would not have placed in that category.
The Herb Society of America New ENCYCLOPEDIA of HERB & Their USES is the best Herb book i have ever come across with. It is has the definitive guide to identyfy, cultivate and uses of Herbs. Apart from the descriptive identity of over 1,000 herb, it also have 1,500 photo of herbs. A highly recommended book of Herbs to have!
