470 page, 'large paperback' size book. Basic care information in a few brief chapters leaves most of the book open for a field guide style, color photographed guide. Great for the confident gardener who just wants to ID perennials they've seen, or get the facts about new plants they might consider buying.
Great little book with detailed descriptions, cultural information, and tons of great photos. I have several books in the Taylor's Guides series and they are all wonderful.
One of my all time favorites, a handy small one to carry along on visits to public gardens. Mine is a first edition, but has stood the test of time and still provides good information.
