I actually read the revised 2004 edition of this book. This is not the best gardening book I've read, but it's definitely useful if you're in Wisconsin and new to gardening, or if you've been gardening for a while but new to Wisconsin. Basically it is a catalogue of plants: annuals, bulbs, ground covers, grasses, perennials, roses, shrubs, trees, and vines that grow well in the state. Each plant includes a photo and information about planting and care. The book appears to be geared towards absolute beginners.
