This book tells you how to make the best use of annuals. I appreciate the clear instructions for propagation and the specific notes on growing conditions. I love the photographs which show a full view of many of the plants. It's nice to be able to see their growth habit and how they are used in the garden. Curiously, though Ammi is featured on the cover it's not on their list of essential annuals. Great book.

THE book to have! I just loved reading this book. The ideas are endless, the pictures are all incredible, and all the words were second to none!!! A joy just to read, even if you are not a gardener. And, an especially good idea I found in this book was a black garden, which will most interesting.
