I received this as a gift a few years after it was released. It is a HUGE book, even for a "coffee table book" type book. A little hard to juggle on your lap, especially if you're simultaneously looking up information online (like I usually am.)
Once you get used to the layout - all roses except the miniatures are alphabetized by name (not organized by class), and every so often there's an insert with information about a specific class of roses - it's a decent reference book, if bulky. For reference and comparative purposes, it would be better if the roses were categorized by class, then alphabetized. It's a fun book to curl up with just for daydreaming!
