Lovely book which I read in several times a month lots of recipes on all sorts of uses for herbs this is one of my favourite herb books with lots of herbs information.
This is a WONDERFUL book - lots of growing information as well as ways to use the herbs you grow and actual recipes for food, cosmetics, herbal remedies and useful teas and sprays.
I love this book! It's very well thought out and isn't stingy with plant photographs. List uses for all plant parts along with pictures of each part. Covers growing, harvesting, propogation, and preserving for each.
Has all of the sections you'd expect from an herbal gardening book: garden layout, placement, designs, types; medicinal preperation how-to; cosmetic how-to; decorative how-to; teas; cultivation and harvesting.
Covers well known and not so well known herbs. Very easy to use and a reference I go back to again and again!
One of the most easy-to-read AND easy-to-understand herb books on the market. This book is fully loaded with a variety of topics (Garden herbs, herbal decorations, culinary herbs, dyes, toys, potpourri, beauty, oils, health issues) and has some of the best pictures!
In addition it (of course!) contains pages on cultivation and harvest, detailing soil prep, propagation etc.
