This work excells on its introduction, telling general ecological, morphological, and cultivation informations about the Orchidaceae family. Then, the rest (and most of) the book contains large and exceptional pictures of several cultivated species of orchids, with correct scientific names and a very short description about each species.
A very good book to look at, and a good guide for amateur orchid growers that are willing to start a collection but donīt know which species they should look for. More hardcore orchidophiles may find it a bit shallow, though. |
