I always get large, healthy plants here for a reasonable price, and I've been shopping here for over 10 years. You won't find any annuals or shrubs here because it's a top notch specialty perennial nursery. They bring in a great selection of new and notable perennials each year yet make sure the good, hearty, classic ones are available as well. If you are looking for peonies, siberian iris, and especially daylilies or hostas, this is the best place around in my opinion. Suzanne grows most of the varieties on the 5 acre property. It's nice to get field grown perennials because you know they are hardy. The most fun way to shop is to visit several times a year and walk around the garden with their catalogue in hand. The display gardens are beautiful, with mature specimens and artful combinations that will give you lots of inspiration.

Their daylily gardens are a designated American Hemerocallis Society Display Garden and they have a daylily festival called Bloomfest in July that is well worth a visit because of the hundreds of varieties of daylilies in peak bloom. They have many potted up, but you can walk around and pick from the field and they will dig them for you. Take your camera!

The only caution is that on occasion, depending on when you go, the staff will all be out working in the field and you might have to look for someone to get questions answered. But don't be put off by this because they are very knowledgeable, just not in-your-face. So don't go if you are rushed, give yourself lots of time and you will come away with some nice, well-tended, quality plants.
