I visit here often. Beautiful, well kept gardens with many unusual plants and flowers. The tower bells play on the hour. Has a cafe, gift shop, plant store, vehicles for the handicapped. Wonderful place to go to get back to nature. You won't be disappointed.

I grew up in Lake Wales where Bok Tower Gardens (Sanctuary) resides. My father used to work there. Even though the gardens have been changing from Mr. Edward Bok's original plan... the garden is an amazing place to GET AWAY. A truly Southern Appeal. The Tower stands majestically on top of iron mountain the tallest point in peninsular Florida. The chimes from the Carillon bells being carried through the park by the wind rustling through the ancient oak trees is truly peaceful. I would recommend these gardens to anyone.

P.S. - Don't get too close to the Swans :)

There is a wonderful selection of plants in bloom all year round! The gardens are constantly fragrant and full of color and are tended to constantly! There is also an endangered plant garden there too, and Bok Sanctuary is actively propagating many endangered species, including one once thought to be extinct! The trip to the Sanctuary is accented by the beautiful tower, which houses a Carollion, and is exquisit to hear! A MUST for any plant lover!
