The owner met us and took us on a tour, by golf cart, of the nursery, where he has more varieties of bamboo growing that I could even imagine. He told us a great deal about each type we viewed and made suggestions for our needs. While we were there a semi was loading hundreds of bamboo for shipment to the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
All the bamboo looked healthy and thriving. He grows them in large groups of each type, so many sizes are available.
The garden, inself, is worth a visit. It is in a lovely setting and you will me amazed at how many types of bamboo exist.
The owner spent about an hour with us and happily gave us a lesson in bamboo.
