On Oct 29, 2009 5:01 PM: Kahnke Brothers Tree Farm is a division of Kahnke Brothers, Inc.; which has been providing lawn and landscaping services to the Minneapolis/St. Paul and suburban areas since 1969. Our primary focus at this time is commercial landscaping and irrigation. The farm was originally used to grow the trees that we install on commercial landscape jobs. After the closing of our store in Victoria, MN (Nature's Bounty Garden Center), we opened our nursery facility to the public on SATURDAYS ONLY:
May 1st through November 1st from 8AM until 3PM.
Visits may be scheduled at other times by appointment. We sell our plants to the public at wholesale prices during our Saturday sales. Our nursery offers balled & burlapped trees, potted trees, evergreens, fruits, shrubs and perennials. Planting, delivery and design services are available for additional fees. We are happy to place special orders for plants that we don't grow and bareroot materials (spring only).
We are liscensed through the MDA. We are also a proud member of the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association. Our Nursery Manager has a degree in Urban Forestry from the University of Minnesota. Most of my formal training in horticulture has occured since I began working for Kahnke Brothers. I have taken many courses through the MNLA, University of MN Extension, and Bailey Nurseries. I have also been trialing the plants that I sell and grow for five years at my home in Silver Lake, MN.
