The staff at Naylor's is THE most knowledgeable in Baton Rouge when it comes to the health and grow-ability of your plants for this area. Chances are, whatever you might find among their tables is already being grown successfully at home by a member of the Naylor's staff. While this is certainly not the largest garden center, it has a wide variety of unusual and interesting plants that cannot be found elsewhere. Additionally, they are willing to special order the plants you desire... a service you will not generally find with the "big boys". This is the place I turn to first for all my gardening needs. From help in identifying a pest or disease (ask Butch or Johnny) to locating that elusive plant you can't quite name (ask Shirley), someone at Naylor's can answer any question you have... or they can help you find that answer. Superior knowledge, reasonable prices, genuine and friendly staff, unusual and interesting selection, and a GREAT atmosphere are what keep me coming back to Naylor's. A++++ nursery!!!!

These folks are incredible--they are patient and love to teach. The staff there (especially Butch) has taught me to install drip irrigation systems which I have used extensively in our yard. In spite of my fears and worries they have been patient to work me through all my doubts and concerns. And this has been a great timesaver & boon to our beds (everyone should try this).
That began our relationship that has flourished as they are considerate to every question and need. Plant selection (I saw someone said "small") is great--changing regularly. They have planted examples and test what they are selling.
My summary--BUY LOCAL!!! These guys beat out the chains hands down--and are always there with a helping hand when you need them.
