The arboretum was named for a plant explorer, J.C. Raulston who, like Henry Wilson, was a plant hunter. It is a remarkable place, where I have seen plants I have only read about, and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I was so thrilled by my very first visit, in 2004, that I joined and am a member to this day (2012) despite living in another state. |
