Terrific service and selection!!! The best place in the USA to buy hard-to-find C&S books, also some great books on tropicals. Personal service and lightning-fast shipping. Very, very nice people. I can't say enough! I hear through the DG grapevine that Helen and Kevin are the new owners of this bookshop, obviously they plan to continue living up to the great reputation the former owners had earned.

Great service from the new owners. Last year ordered a book( email) , order was misplaced and when that was discovered they shipped it free. Recently ordered another book(actually two copies of same book) and they were very pleasant and helpful to deal with( all emails again) . The order was shipped the next day.

I thought I'd posted this comment a couple of years ago. Aaarrggghhh!! I've purchased books from Rainbow Gardens for many years and was never disappointed, in either books or service. The original owners became good friends of mine and were passionate about their business. They decided to retire a few years ago and almost closed because they couldn't find a new buyer. We were all very worried since they were just about the only source of C&S books. Fortunately they were able to sell their business to a very nice couple who moved it to Tucson. I understand they're very well-liked and respected in the C&S community.

Large selection, great service, fast shipping, what else is there to be said?

These folks have, I think, the largest listing of Cactus and Succulent books available in English. I have placed half a dozen orders with them in the past three years and they have always been prompt, accurate, and courteous. They deal primarily in new books but once a year send out a used book list with some of the long-out-of-print classics you read about. If you are interested in cactus and succulent books (as well as cycads, bromeliads, local floras, etc.), I would highly recommend them.

I have ordered plants from Rainbow Gardens and was extremely pleased with the size and quality they sent. Their catalog provides plenty of useful information about culture for epiphytic cacti as well as gorgeous pictures that will make you want to order one of everything. In addition, the owners Chuck and Jerry are very nice, helpful people. I unhesitatingly recommend Rainbow Gardens to anyone who asks about epiphytic cacti.

My order from Rainbow Gardens for six named variety rooted cuttings came the week promised. The cuttings were carefully wrapped and packaged and all instructions , and booklets were clean and included as promised . Every one of the cuttings are thriving with lots of new healthy growth. This is a company that you could order a gift shipped directly to the recipient and not worry. They are a bit on the pricey side but worth it. The catalogue is wonderful- I even ordered extras the pictures were so good.
