| Positive | KanapahaLEW Alachua, FL (Zone 8b) (12 reviews) February 5, 2013 | Wow, what a selection of camellias they have, including the rarest of the rare! Phone calls were answered by various Nuccios, and they were always friendly, patient and helpful. Crating, inspection and shipping for 9 plants added $60 to the total, but the expense was worth it to get plants unavailable elsewhere. There is no internet ordering -- you print out their order form and mail it in with payment, although they bill you for the shipping since it isn't determined until the actual shipping occurs. The plants arrived about 2 weeks after ordering. Shipping to Florida required them to be bareroot but they were beautiful and in perfect condition, of good size and had very well-developed rootballs. Most of their 12" -- 18" camellias are $16 with a few of the rarer ones being $25. |
| Positive | Msalceanu Vista, CA (6 reviews) July 21, 2012 | Looking for a camellia out of this world... this is the place. Prices a bit high but quality makes up for it! Love it! |
| Positive | quangtam2159 Los Angeles, CA (1 review) August 12, 2009 | The most amazing selection of azaleas and camellias anywhere. Delightful, friendly, helpful people who know everything about these shrubs. Great healthy stock and so many varieties and at a price. Go here and not anywhere else plus they deliver! |

| Positive | djprado (1 review) June 5, 2004 | I have been buying camellias and azaleas from Nuccio's for over 30 years. Tom and Jim Nuccio and their staff are wonderful. There selection of plants is the best in Southern California. |
| Positive | phyllisbesse (1 review) November 1, 1998 | While the Vice President of the Southern California chapter of the American Rhododendron Society, I spent many hours at Nuccio's perusing the azaleas, camellias, and rhododendrons, which are all extremely healthy. Jim and Tom are very knowledgeable about everything from propagation, planting, soil conditions, etc., of their plants. They spend time in the orient researching and collecting plants, also, which makes their collection extremely versatile. They include many cultivars as well as native species azaleas. It was always a pleasure to go to Nuccio's and look at the latest blooms. I have moved to northern California and I'm glad to see that they do have mail-order because I would love to have more Nuccio's flowers in my garden here. Thank you for having this service for all of us. |
| Positive | genesmith (1 review) October 1, 1998 | We have lived in the Pasadena area for more than 10 years and have planted two gardens with Azaleas, Camellias & Rhododendrons from Nuccio's. The plants are uniformly exceptional with many spectacular varieties developed at Nuccio's. The staff are extremely knowledgeable & helpful; as a result a visit may take a while but well worth it. The only negative is that we have not had success with classical Rhododendrons (which are not generally recommended for our area), probably due in large measure to our inattention. Recommended without qualification. |
| Positive | steenwjensen (1 review) November 1, 1997 | I've visited Nuccio's on several occasions. The staff there is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. My mom has purchased almost all of her camellias and azaleas there and they all are flourishing. The grounds are wonderful, especially when the plants are in bloom. They have a table that they use to display there blooms on. Each bloom is named, making it extremely easy to find a particular color of flower. |
| Positive | thomasjstokes (1 review) July 1, 1997 | They specialize in camellias and azaleas. I have purchased from them several times and the quality of the plants was excellent but more important the quality of the packaging was outstanding and guaranteed safe transit by UPS. I would recommend them heartily. |
