| Positive | nbailes Fort Worth, TX (1 review) April 16, 2012 | Excellent company and personnel to deal with!! Very good experience all the way around. Plants are very healthy, good size, 2-3 cuttings in the small pot. Put 2-3 potted plugs in a pot and you have a beautiful cactus in no time. Fast delivery, wonderful packing. Good honest people. Thanks so much. |
| Positive | IndaShade Kylertown, PA (Zone 5b) (24 reviews) August 31, 2011 | I mailed an order for three Schlumbergeras on August 24, 2011, and got them via Priority mail on August 31, 2011. They are basically plug-type plants, ready to be potted up into three inch pots, and they were extremely healthy and of a good size. An email to check on availability of one of the plants I ordered was answered in a very short span of time by Randy Whitton. I would not hesitate to order from Whitton's Greenhouse again in the future. :-) |
| Positive | greenman743 Keyser, WV (1 review) August 12, 2009 | I first contacted Whitton GHSE through e-mail to check on the availability of 5 specific Christmas cactus plants. I received a reply confirming availability within 24 hours.
I placed an order through the mail, payed with a personal check and waited - for only 10 days from the day I put the envelope in the mail! The plants arrived well packed, undamaged and fresh by priority mail.
The plants are in 2-1/4" pots, clean and healthy with well developed roots that hold the soil tight but are not pot bound. There are three stems in each pot each with multiple branches. The average plant height excluding roots is about 6 inches.
Although the plants are smaller than I expected, the quality is unsurpassable and I am well pleased.
I would encourage anyone wanting a specific Christmas cactus to look here.
It would be nice if the company would accept credit cards and have online ordering. However, I purchased plants through mail order years before the internet and feel excellent quality plants to be more important than ordering convenience.
Good job! |
