This company is amazing. Exceptional customer service that is very hard to find in today's world. I have ordered 5 or 6 times from them for the past 2 years and the plant quality is excellent and growing well in my zone 5 in Ontario. I have visited their retail location and it is amazing. There was a huge hub of activity with trucks and tractors going in every direction and they still made me feel like I was their best customer...... thanks Shelby. My recent purchase was bamboo fencing and bamboo poles that were shipped to me by truck. I LOVE THESE PRODUCTS Customer service calls and e-mails are answered in a professional manor and believe me I had many questions as I am a newbie to gardening. I must say that I will go back to this company again and again for my bamboos and palms and any bamboo products. I'm not sure about the previous statements left on this site regarding this company I and my neighbor (who actually referred me) have always been more than happy with their service. Keep up the good work Bamobo World.........you have a great reputation and AWSOME plants.

I made a sizable order on line. After waiting 2 weeks ( delivery stated 5 to 9 days) I sent an email to see if the order had been received and shipped. NO reply, A week later I sent a second request for order status. NO reply. At the 5th week I sent another email cancelling the order if they ever decided to look at it. Guess over the years they have gotten so big they dont need online sales.

It's fantastic to have Bamboo World available to us in Canada. Not only is the selection extensive, but so is the information that comes along with them! I just ordered 4 plants from this company and am nothing short of ecstatic at how easy Bamboo World made the process. Carolyn is quick to answer questions and makes everything move along with ease. The plants arrived healthy and in better shape than I was preparing myself for. All very well packed in good soil. That was a week ago and all the plants are in their spots and are doing very well....some new shoots coming up too. I will definitely be ordering from this company in the near future, as soon as I make room for more bamboo!

I started my bamboo planning and shopping 9 months ago from Toronto. Through out this long time, Canada's Bamboo World always helped and answered my emails and questions consistently. In early March, I ordered one Phyllostachys nuda and one Fargesia robusta. The plants arrived by web ordering on time. I contacted the customer service by email when I found the robusta was damaged during shipment. Within 15 minutes, I got reply from Carolyn Mayo. To my surprise, she agreed to give me a bigger replacement. I was so thrilled to see the new bamboo arrived alive and well. It is absolutely gorgeous and graceful. The shape of leaves is much better than I imagined. There are healthy canes and visible young shoots as well. Everyone knew the story said this is what a good business is about.

Canada's Bamboo World shows sincere customer concerns, very high product quality, excellent plant care. I am happy growing bamboo knowing it is from a good nursery.

As owner of a garden design and landscaping firm in Ottawa, I need to be able to provide my clients with the best. The plants I ordered from Canada's Bamboo World not only arrived in excellent health and shape, but also came with clear instructions on how to care for them. Add this to the professional and friendly way Carolyn Mayo addressed us in her emails and you will understand why Trim Garden Design will certainly order plants from Canada's Bamboo World in the future!

Searching the Web for a Canadian-based company that sells bamboo, I happened upon Bamboo World. I ordered two plants during the winter season and promptly received a phone call from the company which acknowledged receipt of my on-line order. We then discussed hardiness for my area and the owner made several positive suggestions re. types I might want to consider in light of my local climate. As an agreed upon shipping date approached, I was then contacted via email regarding shipping date and expected time of arrival.
Both plants arrived in good order due to very careful packing, especially around the new growth stems of the bamboo. A thoughtful set of planting instructions accompanied the order as well as the company catalogue.

I was so excited to find a source for Bamboo in Canada. I fell in love with the plant during a recent trip the Asia, and after speaking with this company, I ordered 5 different varieties from them. The plants arrived well intact and very strong and healthy. After placing them in my garden, within 2 weeks two of them are already sending up new shoots and all are growing more leaves. I was surprised that the black bamboo that I ordered was not black at all, and after contacting the company by e-mail about this, I received a response back from them within the day that explained to me that the sun turned the bamboo black over time. Neat!! WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE .... GREAT PLANTS!! I will be ordering more bamboo from them later in the year as a gift for a friend.

I have ordered about 10 plants from this company over the past 4 years. I was at first sceptical about using an online order form and did not want to scatter my credit card # all over the internet. They do have a secure website and I was THRILLED with the customer service of this company. I sent my order online and within 1 hour I had an e-mail back confirming my order was received and I know that it was not a computer generated letter. I asked a few questions regarding the plants on my order form, and they were thoroughly answered by a representative of the company. The quality of the the plants that I have received have been spectacular. They have survived my cold climate (zone 5), even this winter when temps were much colder than usual. Any questions that I have had over the years have been promptly answered by e-mail. I have just received an order that I have placed for this spring and they arrived on the day that I was promised. The plants are always potted in excellent dark soil, and the pots are tightly wrapped in plastic so that they retain all their moisture and none of the soil spills out during shipping. It is sooooooo refreshing to find an on-line nursery that has such excellent quality stock and even better customer service. Thank you Bamboo World, I'm telling all my friends about you!!!

I ordered a bamboo plant from this company last spring. They informed me that my choice was out of stock but that they had a lovely healthy substitution available. I decided to go with it. When it was shipped it took about 10 days by regular mail to get here. It looked like a child had stuffed it in a used cardboard box to ship it, and the plant consisted of 4 little twigs with NO ROOTS stuck in a pot. I had paid 35 dollars for that, plus shipping! An information sheet encouraged me to give it lots of TLC and it would miraculously come to life. It certainly did not, and I sent an e-mail to inform them of my displeasure. About a month later they responded, and sent yet another substitution (so I have no where near what I wanted initially). They kept me guessing as to when it would be shipped and never answered an e-mail afterward. It finally arrived, badly packaged but at least alive in August. Do yourselves a favour folks, and avoid this one like the plague!
