I have purchased from Cycads-n-Palms several times and was always very happy with the plants. I mostly buy cycads and was pleased to recieve large plants compared to other companies I had purchased from before. I also like the fact that their plants are outdoor grown and can go right into my garden.

This season I have received two orders from Cycads-n-Palms and again I am pleased with the plants. I also realize that I have been getting plants from them for quite a number of years now and I guess that is a sign of good quality.

I am new to the Garden Watchdog and Daves Garden but very familiar with Cycads-N-Palms. I have received orders in the past going back possibly ten years and was always satisfied with the plants and service. I read here that there have been response issues and I did have a delay of an order once but considering that the plants are what it is about I was not phased by it and continued to order more plants. As with all mail order sources, you use them for plants you can't get where you are and this is a good company to use.

I am sorry to read about your problems.I for one have had no problems with numerous orders from Cycads-n-Palms.I have ordered a good mix of species and always was happy how aclimated the plants were.I do know they ship many orders and I guess sometimes things can go wrong.I for one will keep ordering from them.

It seems I am not alone with my positive opinion regarding orders and reorders from Cycads-n-Palms.My stuff always gets here in great shape and well packaged in individual bags with moist moss.I have ordered some of their smaller succulents and would love to get bigger ones but due to size and weight they can't be shipped, at least not as part of a small order like mine are.

I just got another order from Cycads-N-Palms and again I am happy. It is really nice to have a source for things you can't find locally being in Florida that mainly means cycads but I have purchased some nice palms as well.

I have recieved two orders of palms, cycads and aloes.
The quality of the plants was great and the sizes were just as good. I wish I could order larger Aloes but they are hard to ship.

I am fairly new to plants by mailorder but I must say after getting my order from Cycads-n-Palms I am less worried about the whole topic. The palms are nice size and look really healthy.I had been disapointed with plants I recieved from another place in California (they sent me seedlings as 2&3gal. plants) and so I was really glad to get plants that match the potsize.I am sure to be back for more.

I guess this company went out of business and I see there have been no comments about it for a long time. I sent in an order two weeks ago and got no response. I have called twice, left messages and received no response. I have sent them an email and also received no response. I think I'm wasting my time here.

I just recieved my latest of several orders from Cycads-n-Palms.com and I always been happy.I really like the fact that I can plant things out right away without having to acclimate them.I have spoken to the owner numerous times (although he travels a lot and at times is very hard to get in person) and like the fact that almost everything they sell is outdoor grown - at times under harsh conditions.
I have placed a couple of orders with George before. It is great to have such a selection of palms for mail order. But my experiances have not been good ones. The first order I placed, I got a Purple King 5 gal. , Dypsis onilahenesis 5 gal. , and a Normanbaya normanbayii 5gal. With in the first week, I was left with only the Normanbaya. Tuff luck I thought!
My second order was 10- Roystoneas and 10- Raveneas.
Again within the first week, I was left with 10- Raveneas. This time I called him on it. George was suprised at the losses, and said he would re-emburse me for the Roystoneas ($60). It has been two months or more, with no credit to paypal, and no responses to my emails.
I personally think its due to the shipping, with no sphagnum moss protecting the roots of the palms, durring its journey in a box.
Anyone else with the same experiance?

I guess he was out of town, and within 6 hours of this posting, I had recieved my paypal credit. Thanks George! On September 1st, 2008, sbpalms changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
Since the two reviews left for Cycads-n-Palms, I have continued shopping with them. George is an honest man, with quality plants. Thank you George!
Received the five varieties of cycads two weeks ago. They were all in tip top shape. Planted them and they are doing well here in Denver. I have five other cycads ranging from 3" to 9" caudex, all have fronds in the last few weeks. Also 10 seeds just starting to sprout. George has a top quality operation! SP

When I placed my order and explained that I would be out of the country for the following week, George at Cycads-n-Palms assured me that he would hold off on shipping it till the following week--and then forgot to do so. However, as soon as I called it to his attention, he politely, apologetically, and swiftly got the order shipped out. The plants were well cared for and clearly labeled, and his prices, particularly on the monthly specials, were excellent. I would have no reservations whatever about ordering from him in the future.
George the owner did sent me the plants fast, but in the box
there is only one item is what I ordered, I did asked so6me info about other plants, I do not expect to receive it. after dozens of e-mails for correcting the order, he stoped replying my e-mail. The promise of resend the right thing is no longer true. Other than the one item that I got it right, other plants that I got can not even grow in my region outdoors! I never plant on 5 or 6 pots of indoor palms!!!
I rather heard George said that he is going to do nothing after the problem starts, instead of saying he will fix it but did not.On April 21st, 2006, sylvainyang changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:
After George came back to town, he immeadiately responded me and sent e-mail confirmation of what I wanted, he sent me not one but two wine palm! I did not expect that.
Honestly, George selling his palms lower than the average price of the market. Fast shipping. Things happens some times, orders could go wrong, but I appreciate the fact that George was able to stand up and took action go beyond customers needs. That is the right way to gain long term relationship with customers.

George, the owner, is a great guy and very fussy when it comes to plants. His shipments are always timely and arrive in good condition. This is a good place to do business.
