June 2, 2010 | This is a HUGE nursery! Be prepared to spend a few hours browsing--tons of flowers, planters, baskets, and vegetables to see. Plants are large and healthy and all my purchases are thriving. The company does have a strong Christian slant, which I find a little off-putting, but I highly recommend their products. Prices might be a bit higher than some others in the area, but there are quantity discounts, and if you join the Customer Appreciation Club, you'll pay about a 17% less, plus receive coupons and mailings for freebies. America's Best also offers helpful free workshops. I took advantage of their container planting weekends--you supply the pot, they supply the potting mix and planting assistance as needed. I appreciate that they always seem to have plenty of friendly staff available for questions, and a well-organized checkout process that means you aren't standing in line forever. Their carts are great, and there are lots of them. The greenhouses are clearly labeled and easy to navigate. There are also many gorgeous pre-planted containers and arrangements. I'll be back often.
